Manhattan Wreck

Manhattan Wreck was a collaborative art show that took place during New York Fashion Week 2018 featuring photographs by Sickamore, paintings by KidSuper, and a live performance by Sheck Wes. As design lead, I was responsible for all branding, signage, print, and spacial design for the event.

Branding & Identity

My first challenge was to create a visual identity that personified the grungy, underground New York City vibe of the event. In collaboration with street artist Bebar, we created an instantly recognizable logotype that spoke to the show’s unique aesthetic.

Signage & Wayfinding

Building on the visual language for the brand required cohesive designs that would complement the gallery space and not distract from the artwork. I designed posters to accompany the existing wheatpaste backdrop, and large vinyls to present information about the show.

The Catalog

One of my deliverables was to create a physical booklet to serve as a reference for art collectors and a leavebehind for attendees. Using polaroids of the artists and images of their work, I created a collage that encapsulated all facets of the show in one unified composition.
